J. Allen Boone (February 17, 1882 - June 17, 1965) was an American author of several books on nonverbal communication with animals in the 1940s and 1950s. He wrote extensively about his friendship with Strongheart, a shepherd of German movie stars, whom he taught by teaching him how to gain deeper bonds through the extra-landscape perception, the "silent language" that can be learned.
Boone is an early film producer and correspondent for the Washington Post . His friendship in Hollywood led him to the Strongheart.
