Marketing

Altoids are less widely available in the UK - their home country - than in the US that is exported. Candies are stocked in Morrisons. & Amp; Spencer produced a similar product called "Curiously Strong Mints". Unlike their US marketing, Altoids were never marketed in the UK. Callard & amp; Bowser-Suchard has produced Altoids at a factory in Bridgend, Wales, but has since moved Altoids production to a plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. This is done to produce products closer to where they are primarily marketed. They were marketed for short periods in the 1990s under the "Nuttall" brand when Callard and Bowser were under Terry ownership.
