History
Originally called Tiburon Vinters, in 1962 Strong transferred wine to Windsor and renamed it at Windsor Vineyards. This move allows increased production and closer to Sonoma County Strong vineyards properties. The winery was eventually sold to the family of Klein wine makers in 1989.
The wine changed hands again in 2000 when it was purchased by Australian wine unit Mildura Blass, which added Windsor to the family of international wine owners under the umbrella of Beringer Blass Wine Estates.
Recently, vintner Patrick Roney purchased the Vineyard of Windsor in 2007, which later brought winemaker Marco DiGiulio, and moved the tasting room to the town square of Healdsburg, AVA's main wine source location (AVA Dry River Valley, Alexander Valley AVA, and the Russian River Valley AVA).
