Episode recording
One week after Ralphie's "disappearance", Christopher enters Bada Bing with a large package when Tony calls Ralphie in front of his crew, pretending not to know about his fate. The parcel was a portrait of Tony and Pie-O-My that Tony had ordered earlier. Bewildered, Tony leaves Bing and calls back to order a ruined painting. Later, Paulie sees Benny and Little Paulie trying to burn the painting and save him from destruction, saying it would be an honor to have Tony's paintings hanging in his house. Paulie hangs it in his living room, but then takes it there to be modified into Tony's outfit in a "Napoleon-like" uniform.
During dinner with Silvio and Patsy, Albert said that the suspicion of the crew that Tony killed Ralphie because of a horse. After Silvio leaves the table, Albert declares that any boss who kills his crew member on a horse should be removed. Meanwhile, Tony visits Ralphie's son in the hospital and then has a session with Dr. Melfi. When Tony told of the pain of losing Pie-O-My, Melfi commented that he seemed more mourning for animals than humans. Furthermore, he reminds her that her sadness about the ducks leaving her pond is an inner metaphor for her fear of losing her family. Melfi questioned whether horses' death could be linked to other internal conflicts.
When Furio returned from Naples, he had a present for A.J. and Meadow but nothing to Carmela. Later, Carmela visits Furio on the pretext of providing interior decorating tips and receiving a gift from a home-made vinegar bottle brought home from Italy. When Carmela tells Rosalie about her feelings, the widow advises that if Carmela has not had sex with Furio, she should not, if only to keep Tony from taking revenge on Furio. At a meeting, Johnny demanded that Tony let New York come in for HUD scams. When Tony refused, Johnny threatened him.
Tony mentioned the meetings of Paulie, Silvio, Vito, Carlo, and other members of the main family. Tony insists Johnny has killed Ralphie for the HUD scam. For Paulie's alarm, others speculate whether Ralphie's joke about Johnny's wife has anything to do with Ralphie's disappearance. Meanwhile, Adriana cries when she discovers that Chris, in heroin-induced fainting, sits on top of her dog and kills her. Then he met his FBI administrator, Agent Sanseverino, and gave him as little information as possible. Sanseverino, knowing about Chris's habits, showed that Adriana encouraged him to undergo rehabilitation. Chris was hijacked and robbed while trying to buy heroin in a low-income barrio. When she returned home beaten, Adriana gave her a pamphlet for the rehab clinic, but she hit her.
Carmela is visited by a wounded Adriana and hears about how Chris's addiction makes him increasingly unstable. Tony refuses Junior's suggestion to kill Chris. Instead, family and friends organize interventions. The opening exercise involves everyone telling Chris's special moments about how drug use has affected their lives. Tony gets angry when Adriana reveals that Chris has accidentally killed his dog. Chris verbally attacked those who spoke to him, including making veiled references to the failure of Paulette Pine Barrens and Silvio's affair. When Chris starts to disrespect Tony and insult his own mother, he gets beaten up from the people in the room. Intervention ends with Chris being taken to the emergency room with a hair cranial fracture.
Tony arranged for Chris to go to a rehab clinic in Pennsylvania and demanded that she not leave until she was clean, telling him that Patsy would be watching him. Later, while visiting Junior's nap, he finds Svetlana there. Svetlana discusses the differences between the American and other people's worldviews: Americans do not expect anything bad to happen and are shocked when it happens, while others in the world expect the worst and are not disappointed. Tony states that Svetlana reminds him of "Greta Garble". They end up having sex on the Junior sofa. Afterwards, Tony is upset when Svetlana advises them not to see each other again. This episode concludes with the deviant scenes of Tony and Furio preparing food and eating alone in their respective homes without Carmela. Paulie, also at home alone, hung a modified Tony and Pie-O-My painting over his fireplace. Paulie sat with his back to the painting while watching the Yankees game, but Tony's eyes still seemed to bother him.
