Grily is a true American crime television series airing on Oxygen. Snapped debuted on August 6, 2004, and was produced by Jupiter Entertainment.

This series depicts the high profile or strange case of women accused of murder. Each episode describes whether the motivation for murder is revenge against a husband or an affair lover, major insurance payments, or end to harassment, with every killing situation as unique as that profiled by women.

Synopsis

The series features non-fiction narratives about women who have committed murder or attempted murder or are accused of committing or attempting murder. Often the target is an individual couple. The program was edited in a documentary style, using a central voice-over narration by reporter Sharon Martin, as well as interviews with people with firsthand knowledge of the case, including law enforcement officials, lawyers, journalists, friends and family members of both victims and defendants , and sometimes the criminals or the victims themselves.

Production

Snapped was first aired on August 6, 2004, with the pilot episode, "Celeste Beard Johnson" The series is currently in the nineteenth season of production at Jupiter Entertainment.

It is by all the longest life series accounts in Oxygen, with 22 established seasons and fourteen years in production (and two spin-offs) outlasting the designated seventeen seasons and thirteen years of the longest second series Bad Girls Club , and it (and the marathon "Snapped Sundays" everywhere network) plays a big role in oxygen changes toward real crime programming in summer 2017.

Actress Laura San Giacomo and Ronnie Farer recounted each of the first and second seasons. Sharon Martin took the role of narrator in the third season and has since earned additional credit as a supervisor producer of the series.

Repeats from aerial series on over-the-air television broadcasts exclusively on Escape's digital subchannel network.

Episode

On April 12, 2017, Oxygen announced that the 20th season of the series will premiere on May 7, 2017. All season 20 episodes are adapted from:

  • "Notorious: Scott Peterson" - Scott Peterson's trial sentenced for the murder of his unborn wife and child.
  • Vegas Bray - An attractive woman witnesses the shooting of her ex-girlfriend, but can not remember what happened, asks questions about suicide, stalking, and sharing personality.
  • Shanda Crain - When a girl discovers her parent's body within weeks after two other family members' killing, the researchers wonder whether the family is being targeted or whether it can be an inside job.
  • Tracy Fortson - A body wrapped in concrete leads to questions about the former sheriff's deputy and her boyfriend's relationship with law enforcement.
  • Lucille Duncan - When a corpse is found in the forest, the authorities ask whether she is the victim of revenge from her ex-boyfriend, her overly protective brother or 14-year-old son.
  • "Tina Williamson" - The deadly shoot raises questions about the elderly business man's business and his friendship with a much younger woman.
  • "Misook Wang" - While a community is searching for a lost entrepreneur, the police find a startling dispute with their money-hungry relatives that they hope will lead them to a murderer.
