Yountville Domaine Chandon is a wine factory located in Napa Valley in the city of Yountville, California. Founded in 1973 by Mo̮'̨ Chand Chandon, by businessman John Wright and was the first French sparkling wine producer in Napa Valley.
The restaurant at Domaine Chandon opened at the same time as the winery and has been recognized by building high quality eating places in the area. Udo Nechutnys was the restaurant's first chef and was replaced by Philippe Jeanty, who later opened Bistro Jeanty in Yountville. The restaurant was renamed Etoile in 2006 and closed in December 2014 to allow room to expand the wine tasting room.
This winery has vineyards located at several Napa Valley registration sites including Los Carneros AVA, Mt. Veeder AVA, and Yountville AVA. Domaine Chandon makes sparkling wine and is still made of Chardonnay, Pinot noir, and Pinot Meunier, a traditional wine used in the production of Champagne.
The company also has several wineries located in Mendoza, Argentina; in the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia; Brazil; and Ningxia China.
